GET TO KNOW ME

I was born and raised in northern New Jersey and consider myself an East Coast girl at heart. When it came time for college I moved to Central Virginia to attend Lynchburg College. There I studied special education, with a minor in psychology and museum studies. My junior year of college I had the experience to participate in a faculty-led winter term trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. It was an amazing experience and taught me a lot about the International Education field.

After college, I joined Teach for America and was placed in Phoenix, Arizona. In Phoenix, I worked at a Title 1 School as a special education teacher for students grades kindergarten through eighth grade. I did that for four years and now I'm currently still a part of Teach for America, but through a fellowship program! I'm currently a Green Fellow in Kansas City Missouri, and I am working as a special education teacher for students in grades kindergarten through sixth grade. I work with students with a variety of disabilities including autism, learning disabilities, emotional disabilities, brain injuries, and more!

I am working full-time as a teacher and part-time as a student at Middlebury Institute International Studies at Monterey. Here I am studying International Education Management and teaching English as a second or other language (TESOL). I'm excited to see where this journey takes me!
